Lisa LaPlace & Rafter L Stables
Small Business Branding Session
Perrin, Texas
As an editor for APHA’s Paint Horse Journal and Chrome magazine, I’d take a couple of trips each year to different areas of the country, gathering interviews and taking photographs for future articles. That’s how I first met Lisa—on my first trip to California in 2015, working together on an instructional for teaching brand-new riders key basics.
And that’s a subject in which Lisa is the expert; she’s one of the best I’ve met at teaching new riders with clarity, encouragement and unwavering enthusiasm.
Lisa and I reconnected when she moved to Texas to slow down her operation. No longer hauling show clients, Lisa and her team of retired-show-horses-turned-rockstar-teachers get to focus on what they do best: building those foundational skills (both in and out of the saddle) in new riders of all ages.
