Yahtzee the miniature horse
at Aspen Ranch
Edmond, Oklahoma
Aspen Ranch is a beautiful, new wedding venue that only recently opened in Edmond. Formerly a thoroughbred racing operation, Aspen Ranch is also home to a delightful menagerie of critters—including many adopted through Oklahoma’s Nexus Equine horse rescue.
Their latest addition is Yahtzee, is a bit of a local celebrity. Only approximately 7 months old, Yahtzee made the local news for causing an odd call to 9-1-1; the caller reported her trotting down the street near NW 36th and Classen (not exactly a normal place for ponies in OKC!); she was later taken in by Nexus Equine.

When Aspen Ranch’s Karlee saw Yahtzee’s story on the news, it was love at first sight. And, when I saw Karlee’s announcement of Yahtzee’s adoption on Instagram, I fell head-over-heels for the sweet girl, too. Yahtzee was only a few days into her new life at Aspen Ranch, but you can tell this sweet, sassy little girl is right at home with her new, loving family. I’m sure she knows she hit the adoption jackpot!
